Sony Ericsson U5i passes FCC tests, runs Symbian, is not Kurara
There's something strange going on - the Sony Ericsson U5i passed FCC testing a few days ago, but that model number was tossed around as the Sony Ericsson Kurara model number, though this U5i seems to be a different device.

The Sony Ericsson Kurara leaked a while back - a Symbian powered phone with a 3.2" nHD touchscreen and 720p video recording. The Kurara CPU is supposedly a Cortex A8 running at 600MHz and the phone touts 3G with HSPA and Wi-Fi.

The Sony Ericsson U5i that passed...

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 passes FCC test again, for AT&T this ti
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is making a second round through the FCC testing grounds. The first time it was tested, the frequencies listed in the report indicated that it was the T-Mobile version. The new report however is about the XPERIA X10a version.

The listed 3G frequencies are 850/1900MHz, so hello AT&T and the rest that share those bands - Bell, Rogers, Telus. It's no guarantee that any of these operators will get the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10a, but their chances just raised drastically....

Windows XP powered ITG xpPhone has touchable custom UI
We've shown you the ITG xpPhone before but now there are screenshots of the user interface so we thought we should tell you all about it. The ITG xpPhone is kinda like the Nokia N900 - a tablet, but also a phone. Unlike the N900 however, this one is a full-blown tablet PC - it runs Windows XP and everything.

Since XP was never intended to run a phone it doesn't have the proper interface for it, not to mention a thumb-friendly one. This is where the custom Dial-up interface steps in… no,...
Spy shots of touch Sony Ericsson Kurara smartphone pop up
Sony Ericsson obviously feel pretty good about working with Symbian S60 touch-operated UI as they are about to launch a second handset running it after the Satio. Nicknamed Kurara, the subject of these shots is a full-touch handset that packs some serious imaging capabilities.
There's still a pretty good chance that those photos are fan mockups but if they are not we have a pretty interesting handset coming our way. The Sony Ericsson Kurara is said to sport a 3.5" AMOLED touchscreen and an 8MP...
